Yomi Famurewa

Yomi Famurewa is the Founder and CEO of TheCIOLab, an executive advisory and peer intelligence platform helping CIOs connect technology strategy, organizational change, peer insight and measurable enterprise value.

With more than 15 years of multidisciplinary experience spanning information technology, business process design, supply chain optimization and transformation, Yomi brings a broad operating perspective to the CIO agenda. His career has crossed manufacturing, financial services, healthcare and consumer packaged goods, giving him firsthand exposure to the different ways strategy, technology, process and people must come together to create sustainable results.

At TheCIOLab, Yomi focuses that experience on the challenges technology leaders are navigating now: AI strategy and operationalization, data and AI governance, technology modernization, operating-model design, value realization, change leadership and enterprise transformation. His approach starts with the business outcome rather than the technology. The objective is to identify the decisions that matter, diagnose the capabilities and constraints around them, align leaders on priorities and build a practical roadmap that can be measured over time.

Yomi is particularly focused on closing the gap between innovation and execution. He believes AI and emerging technologies create value only when they are trusted, integrated into real workflows, adopted by people and connected to clear operational or financial outcomes. That philosophy is reflected in TheCIOLab's AI Value Gap diagnostic, executive workshops and value-realization services.

Change leadership is central to his work. Yomi uses a human-centered approach that engages stakeholders early, clarifies the reason for change and helps teams adopt new ways of working. His experience guiding teams through technology and process transitions has reinforced a simple principle: transformation succeeds when strategy, operating model, capabilities and people move together.

Through TheCIOLab's 20 Keys framework, Yomi's goal is to give CIOs a repeatable way to see the whole technology enterprise while still focusing on the few priorities that matter most. The framework supports executive assessment, target-state alignment, selection of the Top 3 priorities, 90-day action planning and ongoing measurement of progress and value.

His vision for TheCIOLab is straightforward: equip technology leaders with practical intelligence, structured diagnostics and independent advisory support so they can lead with clarity, modernize with purpose and demonstrate the enterprise impact of technology.
